Bye Bye Monday Blues, I Have No Time For You

My daughter, today, does not feel energetic when she woke up for school. She complained that the Teletubbies suit that she wore last night does not give her energy (unlike in the show).

Poor her.

It is Monday after all. Little that she knows, it could be the same feeling for adults as well.

Here are some facts. 

In a Monster's poll, 76% have "anticipatory anxiety" just thinking about Monday. In other words, in every 4 people, 3 has that. Even Dr. Vania Manipod, a board-certified psychiatrist herself cringe at the thought of Monday.

According to the experts, the most effective way to combat with the Monday beast is to prepare, but, shoot! We are on Monday already! What should we do?

I found that listening to music helps.

My current favorite is "Friendships" from Pascal Letoublon that may keep repeating for an hour or more. If I need an extra motivation, I'll listen to "I Am" from Team Fearless.

I also found certain scent can help to raise the mood in the morning: basil, cinnamon, eucalyptus, ginger, lemon, peppermint, and rosemary. Essential oil or candle? Your choice.

Now that we have some "arsenal" in hand, say it now with confidence.

"Bye-bye Monday Blues! Do you want to get out yourself or do you need me to show you the exit door ?"
